TBS – NOT FUNNY

Infuriating is more like it. I started following it on ESPN’s gameday but it locked up presumably from too many people flooding that page. And from the station that can at least offer a Seinfeld rerun, they gave us Steve Harvey of all people. No wonder no one’s watching Frank TV.

I turned on my TV and didn’t even get that stupid Steve Harvey show. I had some ancient episode of Dick Clark and those bloopers. And there was no crawl saying they were having technical difficulties. Made me NUTS. I went on MLB and listened to the audio from the Florida radio station because, of course, they didn’t have the TBS feed either. Luckily we didn’t miss much, but, as a Red Sox fan/friend of mine said, “TBS: Very Crappy.”

I’m looking forward to the Good Times marathon they are going to play until the cutting in on the game in the 5th tonight.

I wouldn’t mind a “Seinfeld” marathon but what I really want is for MLB to take away TBS’s license to broadcast baseball games!

I don’t mind TBS’ broadcast rights. I quite like their broadcasts and their announcers (save for Chip Caray) are good… especially Cal😀
But nothing bothers me more than:
1) the crawl appeared twice the entire time it was out. Should have been running all the time.
2) nothing on tbs.com or mlb.com about what was going on.
3) ESPN should be airing these games anyway. I much prefer their coverage. Plus they air in 720p.

Couldn’t disagree more about TBS, Kylie. I don’t mind their pre-game group, but the game coverage is just amateurish, in my humble opinion. They get names wrong. Their camera work is sloppy and gives me a headache. They beat a dead horse every time they make a point – how many times did they anoint the Rays as champions before Game 5 was even close to being over? And I can’t listen to Buck Martinez’s voice. Other than that, they’re great🙂
